5 Habits I've Learned From Skinny People After My Weight Loss
The way I act on my kitchen completely changed after I decided to lose some weight. Before it happens I used to eat eggs, pasta, a big plate of rice/buckwheat and chicken legs all the time and all my meal was fried and oily. And I don't even count candies and other sweets that happened to be in my kitchen all the time.
So how did it changed? First: I quit eating rice/buckwheat and pasta and it's not because they are high-calories or something but because I found myself eating other kinds of food during the day. Even though I forget about tough diet for some time I did not forget all the habits I've learned while this period.
After some research and asking skinny people what they do to stay in a good shape, I finally understand something they all have in common. So that what skinny people do to stay skinny all the time:
1. Do not overeat. I think it is the most common issue all people who fight their extra weight face. When you feel extra full like you can't even move it is a bad sight for your weight loss journey. The first thing you have to learn is to stop eating when you feel like you're full but you can eat more. I started to eat slowly enjoying every moment of my breakfast and it really works. Control yourself do not overeat and fell lightness in your stomach after ingestion.
2. When you're hungry - go and drink some water. It doesn't mean you have to skip your basic meal and just drink water. You just don't notice how often you walk into your kitchen to grab something small during the day. So drink water when you feel like hungry and if it doesn't help and you still want to eat - grab some healthy snack then.
3. Learn how to count calories. When you know how many calories you have to eat you can even eat some favorite snack like a piece of chocolate or anything you enjoy the most. You have no idea how much calories you get. Doesn't matter if you work out or not - your body will not be in the shape you want if you eat more than you should during the day.
4. Skinny people staying active all the time. It means park your car far from a store and walk more. You don't need to run five times per week to stay active. You just need to move more than you used to. Walk when you talk by your phone, don't lay on the couch or sit in the chair. I started clean my apartment more often because of this. I'm moving so it is better than sitting in the front of my laptop especially due to the fact I work from home so I don't walk a lot. If I need to get some grocery store that is about 1 or 2 km from my place I walk. If I decided to go visit my parents that live in about 5-6 km from my place - I walk. So you get it. Activity is key.
